ended up taking the oil filter and sandwich plate off 4 times before finding out exactly why i kept dumping oil all over the floor
first, the sandwich plate needed a slight a recess on the engine side to accommodate nut of oem fitting as it was fouling by about 1mm, just enough to stop the o ring sealing.






second, after the sandwich plate clearance was corrected we found that aftermarket thread was about 3mm to long so had to trim that back to fit it all up correctly




so 4.5 hours later it was all FINALLY in, back together and working. thank
they're a pack of sexy bitches as i was WELL AND TRULY over the car by then. Made me miss hooters and hot wings tonight...grrr

Will get better pics tomorrow.
