I just brought a set of these and before i fit them just want to check i am not gonna kill anything in the car, Had two different storys

1: just disconnect the battery hook them up reconnect the battery away you go,
2: leave the battery connected and just fit them no problems

the reason i ask the question is a got both of these from 2 different people at the local dealership, It worries me to get two differnet opinions from the local dealer

Disconnecting the battery saves blown fuses and shocks should something go wrong,
Always disconect the battery when playing with electrics

You can do it live if u want just don't touch the wires together or you will blow a fuse. It will be a pain to find the blown fuse.

To be safe disconect the battery.
