The foggie ballast literally sat on top of its own wires unattached to anything. Didn't appear to move about, nor did it ever have any problems there.

The second set I got mad lazy stuck in front of the airbox, and next to the battery. They didn't like that. Heat eventually got into one of them and one of them died.
I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Most definitely not. Maybe with the fancy new slimline ballasts, but not the full size el cheapo ones.Is there room underneath the headlight unit to mount the ballasts? That's where I put them in my Gen3. JDM style

Most definitely so.
I mounted mine in the bumper reo, under the headlight. Worked a treat.

RHS is under the airbox.. yes, with slimline ballasts there is just enough space
LHS is between the battery and the body - was not a tight fit.. untill i upgraded to optima yellowtop... now its tighter than a fish' you know what
might not be ideal to everyone but atleast i didnt have to pull my bar off.
