I was putting the windows down today and the read drivers side started making noise.
Then when i got home i tried to put the windows up and the front drivers side would only go up
an inch each time and when it gets to the top it goes back down half way.

What is wrong?
Best thing to do is auto electrician?

Motor might have seen better days. I've pulled a few of these apart and you can tell a broken one from a good one.

Easiest fix is to get a new motor and you're away

Could be dry rails too. Seems like its sensing a limb in the way of the glass so backing the window back down.

Yeah true. Pull the interior trim off and see if you can find an obstruction.
