Disaster, I went for a drive to the shops, reversed into a parking spot..

I went to leave and the car wouldn't go into any gear, the shifter has play, but it wont go into any gear.

Even if i try Jam it in, nothing.... had to get the car towed back to base.. :(

Anyone had similar issues.. Im thinking im gonna have to get a new 4.44 box.

does it makea difference if the clutch is in or out?

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Do you feel like there is clutch?
Have you had someone watch the slave pushing on the clutch fork while you are depressing the clutch pedal?
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Can you select gears with the engine off?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

nope it wont go into gear with engine on or off..

Its just like an empty gearbox.. ________ like it slides left to right but not up or down into any gear, and the car is currently in neutral cause i can move it..

Pull the gear stick out and take a look.

If the gearbox if foo-bared, the stick has to come out anyway.

sounds like the selector forks are jammed, my rs used to do it on the race track, would get jammed into neutral. only ever did it on the track though, if i left it to cool it would pop out eventually with some persuasion.

Mate bent his Clutch Fork once, did the same thing..
but then he wasn't exactly "reversing" into a car space" lol

there might have been some hard turning and quick application of the brakes in a S shape manner while exiting a carpark..

i think TZ is on the money..

Ty, if the clutch fork was bent it should select gears when the engine is off.

;)
