The conduct of one individual on Facebook has lead me to absolute disgust.
There is absolutely no need to slander anybody over the Internet over an engine.
No doubt the person who sold it to you did it out of the best intentions, and not to profit from a dud motor deliberately.
Show some maturity, and deal with it out of the public view.
If you are unhappy with the result, take up legal avenues. I'll tell you this for free: you won't get far.
The joys of buying something second hand pretty much means you get a good deal, because there is no warranty, implied or otherwise..
Chalk it up as a loss, and move on with your life..
Bad luck. We've all been stung in various ways.

Pull your head in, mate. That kind of attitude isn't tolerated in kindergarten, let alone a 'grown-ups' car club.

It pretty much sums up EVERY thought I have had for the perpetrator.

Thanks for the support on this one guys...
You're right, in no way did i profit at all on this sale, anyone knows that I sold that motor very, very cheap.
I also packed the motor properly and took it to the transport company at his request, as I was doing him a favour as his car was off the road.
That engine was taken out of my car by a trained mechanic, in his workshop. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the engine when it left my mechanics. (Whether it had been damaged on transport, or the mechanic in Sydney didnt put it in right/forgot to lubricate the engine before starting it etc??? i dont know?)
But I have it in writing that the 100,000km service was done on the engine at the end of last year, and Bryce has this to confirm.
Im very sorry that there is a problem with the engine now, but there is really not much i can do about it, is there?
What ticked me off most is that Bryces mother called me after I had already been speaking to Bryce. She has told me that she is coming to my address (they have my details apparently) and collecting either the money, or something to that value. She also sent me a pretty harsh text message.. And said some other nice things about me.
:/
I would really like to know what was said about me on Facebook, if someone could message me what it said just so i know.

Surely this matter could have been handled with a bit more discretion, yeah? The whole community doesn't need to know.
Cheers,
Shazza
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Best to have them document such occurrences, and I would consider it as a threat.

AFAIK, you've seen everything that was written? Chris deleted the other post he made (rightly so) which you commented on?
How he's handling this is really disturbing. He's trying to recover money but doing so on the wrong side of the law. How is that going to get anyone anywhere?!
Also, holding you for his money problems is hilarious!

BP: Motor is

DJ: name them man i got a good idea who
BP: Sam sawtell
MA: ...not hard to figure out. He posted in the previous comment. Sam is an honest bloke who sold you an engine that had just had the 100k km service done.
What's the cause of the knock?
AG: Google "caveat emptor"
BP: Not willing to spend more money to pull the bottom end apart if he is an honest bloke he will hand me the cash back when I drop the motor back nothing has changed and if he wants to blame my mechanic if any one has used top tech automotive u know that Joe knows everything Subaru and he did my gear box and clutch so I know he is a great mechanic
CS: Tone it down Bryce. That sort of comment isn't going to buy and favors from the bloke you bought it from. May I suggest contacting him directly, one on one to reach a resolution instead of publicly spraying the bloke
BP: I have and he is not willing to help at all so that's y I have written this status all he says it was fine when it was in his car dont for a second think I didn't contact him first before posting my first status

1) Not your fault. If you say that the motor was running when you sold it, and there was an exchange of money, that is a contract of sale on its own..
2) He and his mother (lol) are acting like oxygen thieving fucktards. Principle of the matter.
There are other avenues to explore before even considering money back.

I have said that I dont have the money to give back. I have said numerous times that I sold the engine in AS IS condition... And there is not really anything that I can do.
If they want to come to my house, then that is their problem.

i love buying second hand stuff that doesnt work!. i have bought 1 x ej20tt (big end knock) and 2 x ej25s both with damage to the cam cover once without noticing and the second time was for a mate from a reputable wrecker who offered a warranty once we had put the timnig belt on and checked for bent valves - sure enough 2 x bent ex valves. buying privately is different and you really are taking a risk.
if i posted all the rip offs i have bought i could probably start my own" for-ort-um "(that is good isnt it), but on the other hand all the good stuff definately makes up for it.
buyer beware i say maybe make arrangements to have the motor checked before install...build yourself one good one out of the 2??
