Hey guys,
My antenna is dead since i bought my car, a 1998 gen2 liberty rx, when you turn the ignition on you can hear a small click from the antenna motor, i assume that would be the relay activating, but thats all there is, ive pulled it all apart and nothing seems to be seized ive chopped the ends off the wires and re soldered them, when i remove the stator (the gold metal part) and turn the rotor (the copper coil part) with my hands all the parts move and then antenna goes up and down, but when powering with the 12v as i said it just goes click, is there anything that can happen to the copper coil and magnets that could stop it from working? Also i should mention it looks like its had water in it a little rusted on the bottom near the very bottom of where the nylon cord runs up into the mast i scraped a bit of the rust out, if theres anything else you need to know to help me just ask

really common issue with gen 2 aerials. its basically had the D so you'll need the replace the whole thing

Get one from a wrecker or just get a universal one from somewhere like jaycar

I got mine from the Yahoo Auctions Japan.

Wreckers dont have any and universal ones dont fit, they arent made to fit every single car so they shouldnt say universal
