So i'm finally back in a liberty after around 5 years of trying other

things with varying degrees of success..

Picked up this car in May this year. Was an original owner from Tassie with 27,000km on it. With help from Bumpty I was able to get it up on a hoist locally to make sure it wasn't too good to be true. Business owner had bought it for his wife (her daily) and needed bigger car for grandkids. After I checked it out handed over the money I hopped on the boat with it and drove it home Devonport-Melbourne-Wollongong.

Previous owner had ticked a few boxes with the front and rear lip spoilers, weathershields, mudflaps etc so that was a bonus. Had a TBE on it was an original Hi-Tech exhaust which sounded great but performance was average (split dump). Two months later I drove up the coast to MSR who fitted new exhaust (MSR dump and Invidia Q300 catback) and tuned it for me. Came back a healthy 182kw atw and drove 100x better.

Picked up some GTC01's for it which I had on for 6 months, then pulled them off and fitted some new wheels thanks to Mark (cruisn). So it now sports some OZ Ultraleggera 18x8 with 235/40's. Still a few things I want to do but will come with time and money :)

Now has 40k on it and is due for some servicing (8 year old car and original timing belt) before any more mods.

First day I picked it up:

Nice work Alex.

I love these but they were too old when I went to buy Foz. Would love one as second car though, especially with low kms like this so consider me a prospective buyer if you decide to move on. Remember reading your wagon thread many years ago so know you look after your cars.

Any pics with Enkei's on?

Nice and shiny. :)

I do like the look of the OZ wheels over the GTC01's.

Hard to find one with low km that's for sure. I was looking for a foz also but wanted the 6spd and liberty interior. I think I was pretty lucky it was a bit of a gamble booking a flight within a day of seeing the car. I think I will be keeping this car for a long time now though. Added pic of the Enkei's (which are for sale)

Cheers for pic Alex, was curious to see how different the Enkeis looked to the OZ.

Yeah was spewing, my car had to be max 1yr old to qualify for salary packaging, so ruled out anything pre-2010, but fork me if this isn't a diamond in the rough, glad your impulsive flight gamble paid off.

needs more wagon :)

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

haha you get what you're given, couldn't say no to this car!

PS wagons are so rare, i think there was 1 wagon for sale and around 20 sedans (manual, GT spec B) in Aus when I was looking.

That is a top find man, well done and congratulations! You're gonna have a blast with it. I like the way it sits on those new rims too.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.
