hey lads.
haven't posted much on these boards, but thought i'd post up my new pride and joy!
over a year ago Tony put 84DGT up for sale, the sale never went through.. a year later i noticed Tony posted a EOI post in a subaru sales page on facebook for the car, one thing led to another, and now i am the new owner of 84DGT
been dreaming of owning this car ever since i first seen the build thread on ozfoz, and now here i am!
living her new life down south now in Newcastle.

It's great to see cars like this staying in the family. Good work on the purchase man. She's still looking schmick.
Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Dem straight cuts

thanks man. yeah i'm glad its staying in good hands.
it's going into my mates workshop soon to have some upgrades started, and unfortunately the straight cut gearbox is being removed.. but being replaced by something cooler and more.. outside the box
so if anyone is interested in buying a PPG 1-4th straight cut synchro box, hit me up
the next time she's on the road it will be running with a RB25DET gearbox. it's a necessary upgrade in my eyes because of what the car is used for, and people try to tell me the ppg box is still stronger, while yes ppg is strong its still a standard 5spd gearbox, with PPG gears inside it. so the RB box will be more suited to what i'm going to be doing with the car

A+ for uniqueness. From memory it has a Nissan rear diff?? Next you will be putting a Nissan motor in
Much work?
Welcome!

If AM Auto Al can get a 2J into a gen 3 surely you can get a RB26 into a forester

yep it's different i know.. and i've searched for ages to try and find someone else who's done it to make this process easier for me, but no one has from what i can find.
yep the rear diff is from an r33 skyline.
well, i have to have a custom bell housing made, potentially a custom clutch set-up made, custom gearbox mount made, and there's a possibility i may have to cut the tunnel and make it higher to accommodate the gearbox/ shifter linkages (which are also going to have to be custom seeing as the RB box is shorter than a suby box)
but in saying all that, it's not impossible and it will be happening one way or another lol.
yeahh haha! if the engine ever fails on me and blows up past the point of being a cheap fix, ill be throwing a 2j into it lol. but it's a built 2.7 ltr EJ257, so it can take a punch.

Such a monster of a foz
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Neat!
Will it still be registerable once you cut the tunnel???

was a v4 i think, but nope that motor popped about may last year, since then its been running a fully forged 2.7 ltr EJ257 built by Robin at perFOURmance MotorSports in QLD
and.. well.. yes and no.. lol. im going to try my best to hide it. hopefully the tunnel work is still able to be covered by the dash/ centre console.
but in saying that im going to try my best to avoid even doing that, cutting the tunnel is a last resort at this stage.

Good to see you posting more on here Matt.
Ps stop breaking the foz plz
#13

yeah i might make it more regular now haha. ozfoz has gotten boring of late..
yep that's what all the upgrades are about! less stuff to break that way
atleast this time round i can still drive it lol, i just have no first gear.. haha.
