Hi all, thought i'd get a bit of a build thread going because I enjoy reading everyone else's. My story begins back when I started to look at what car i'd like to own whilst on my L and P plates. I have always admired gen 2 and 3 Liberty's as well as older WRX's. I checked out some gen 3 libs but at the time couldn't find any with low km's in my price range. I checked out all the dealerships around town and noticed a red gen 4, it really caught my eye. Went and checked it out, at the time it had 70,000km on the clock which I thought was fairly low for a 2005. 2 days later I ended up purchasing the car after a bit of negotiating. Here is what it looked like at that time, stock as a rock. Decent amount of pics below.

There were a few things showing age on the car, one of which was the grill. This would be the first of many things on my car to be plastidipped.

Before : Grill was really faded.

After: Much better
I also blacked out the badge on the boot and the fog light surrounds at this time. Also experimented with converting the stock grill to a mesh one, but couldn't find any decent mesh anywhere. This is when the buying of parts began. An ebay mesh grill and Ultrex rear diffuser were added.
Few months pass and after a long time searching online an Ultrex front lip was added, and as with everything from Ultrex that iv'e purchased took some time and effort to get it to fit properly.

The plasti dip returned once again (I use this stuff way more than I should) for the wheels, quite pleased with how they turned out as it only took me 3 hours from start to finish.

Next up was an exhaust, ended up going with the cheapest option, an XForce catback in mild steel. Straight bolt on which was a bonus. (Can post a lame youtube video if anyone likes)
It was time for a bit of low, and I had read to steer clear of springs and go for coilovers. A second hand set of BC BR coilovers popped up and they were installed on what seemed to be the hottest day of my life so far.

Before and after
Picked up a double DIN facia kit dirt cheap second hand so a Sony XAV-65x head unit and reversing camera were installed as well as upgraded speakers all round. A kicker sub was always wired up for mad doof doof.

The coilovers make the car so much more fun to drive even though it's NA, through the corners its an absolute blast. And that's the story so far.
As for future mods l'd like to add the following:
- Rear window spoiler
- Aftermarket wheels, hopefully coming middle of this year (any suggestions for this greatly appreciated) Enkei RPF1 18 x 8.5 +40
- Genuine STI front lip
- Roof racks
- HID headlights (Jaycar HID Conversion Kit)
- Side spats and strakes (I don't know the correct name for these) or Damd side skirts
Unequal length headers (hopefully being installed in a few weeks)Maybe one day
As for current pics of the car, here are a few of my favourites.
