Hello all.

Im totally new to subarus so hoping for some advice.

I know theres another rim size thread but didnt want to jack it.

I looking at rims for my new 2001 gen3.

either a 18x8.5 +44 with 225 or 235 tyre,  or 18x9.5 +38 with 245 or 255.

id love to fit the 9.5s but wondering if they are too aggressive for the gen3?

i havent seen many build threads with such wide rims.

thanks!

245 or 255 will not fit without major mods, even 235 will be a tight fit, all depends how low you go.

Pics and sizes stolen from Cams thread

He runs a 17x8 +45 Enkei RPF1's w/235/45R17 with all guards rolled and coilovers. Unsure on his camber specs though

Widest I've ever seen on a Gen 3 was Zach's 10". It was dodgy, illegal and stupid!

Not to mention it just looks plain ridiculous IMHO.

I just did the Great Ocean Road in the GTB with 4 people, loaded cargo area and not one scrape. Widest I would go personally on a Gen3 is an 8" +45 and 225's and only roll the rear guards.
