Hey guys,

I drive an 03 Auto WRX and am after information/links about the following:

1) Shift Kits - (strengthens the auto with faster and firmer gear shifts)

2) Transmission Cooler kit

If anybody with an auto wrx has purchased/installed a trans cooler or shift kit and has a link to where they bought it from that would be truly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

ive got a trans cooler on mine and its awsome, trans is in way better cond than the last one i had and it didnt have a cooler . the last fluid change looked way better than other and shifting is better too

ive got mine sitting in front of the rad behind the grille

and ive got it so it runs from trans out - rad top in - rad bottom out - cooler in - cooler out - trans in - so that the trans fluid still gets to operating temp in winter so not to damage anything in colder months but still cools the fluid better once warm and in traffic

if u need a hand let me know i did mine pretty quick

ps dont go cheap get a davies craig 12 bar should be more than enough for auto i paid about 80 bucks from auto one and then 4 clamps and some extra hose to get it all done

oh and if u want to get really anal like i did grab some hose clamps so u dont loose/ get oil everywhere :)

Cheers mate...thank you for the info...im useless with my hands so my mechanic will have to install it for me. The hoses you are using...are they braided steel ones or the regular rubber ones?

Once again thank you for the info..

Heaps of info cropped up about shift kits a while back, if you search extensively for it you'll find the threads. I'm guessing it's the 4EAT? If I recall they were said to be quite rough on the ol' gearbox, but if you want it go for it.

Also Auto WRX? Was it a conversion? Or factory?

There was some info on RalliTEK 4EAT transmission mount bushes in the For Sale section;
