Hi there,
recently I've had a few people ask me how I go about raising the front number plate on a Gen3 lib from the stock position to a more flush fitment.
It's easy, real easy & if you actually took the time to have a look at your own number plate, you'd have to agree with me on just how easy it is...............yet here we are.
Here's the stock position with the big nasty gap above the plate....
First of all you need to remove your number plate. If it has the stupid strip off security screws just unscrew the whole bracket by going in through the hole next to the screws like shown below.... real secure lol.
Next you need to move the tab thingys from the side to the top of the relief in the bumper, line up your plate to center & drill new pilot holes for the screws then line up the tabs.
Now you need to make some sleeves for the plate screws to space the gap between the bar & plate. I normally use 6mm ID hose but in this instance I've cut up my sons black texta to make the sleeves.... sorry boy. They are 10mm long.
Then just bolt it back up in the new raised position.....
Whack a plate cover on it for some bling and there you have it....
Wow, a good flush looking plate.....Looks shit hot!
fork yeah....that's one good looking front bar. It gives me wood.
Better show one more shot from a different perspective, just so you can see how good my car is.
Man that's a hot car..... what were we talking about again?
Oh yeah.... how hot my car is and how I like to post pics of it.
There you have it. If you have any questions, they may be directed to Google.
