Transmission mount NVH

I was aware that there would be an increase in NVH.
I re-used my current header gaskets as I had to remove my headers and cats to access the required nuts/bolts.
Upon start-up I noticed there was more noise, especially boxer rumble, and a slight burning smell and hissing in the engine bay, something that I have attributed to as failed gaskets, even though they were torqued down correctly. I have already sourced some replacement gaskets.
The NVH imo is borderline unbearable.
Have any of you experienced something similar with installation of a Group N tranny mount?
I have Group N pitch stop mount already in my car and I have engine mounts to put in too.
Do you think the bush has affected the tailshaft in relation to the transmission box?
The driveline doesn't feel stiffer, but this may be because of the header gasket leak.
Cheers.

is that a big lump of poly in the middle? No wonder they increase NVH.
The group N mounts are still rubber -- just without compliance gaps like the std mounts.
Is this the install process - shove Rallitek block of poly into std mount ?

If so - try filling the mount with sika 255 instead.

I have a group N tranny mount, but its on a manual. NVH increase was noticeable but not major, and really only when punching it. Changing gears definitely feels better though

Has anyone heard any feedback about the soft version? I have one sitting here I haven't put in, wondering now if it's worth it?
Mark, did you get yours in?

Does that sikaflex 255 go hard or stay a bit soft like butylmastic sealer stuff?

It stays pretty rubbery.. datasheet says Shore A hardness of ~60, which is approaching tyre-tread type material.

Still do the ALK, it's great and next to no NVH, except for Harshness only, from the front end being more stiff.I changed the lower shift bushes and the 'positive shift kit'... took them out a couple of weeks later because of the noise, way to annoying to drive to and from work everyday, decided I'm not changing anymore bushes or adding the anti-lift kit I had planned

Thanks, I had it totally crossed off my list because I read it makes a fair bit of noise

What I want to know is are there any benefits of my mount bush cuz I don't want to waste my time and gaskets only to realise the NVH is unbearable and the benefits (if any) are negligible, in which case I'll remove the RalliTEK bush.
I remember Cam saying in my build that pitch stop, transmission and engine mounts are some of the best mods you can do.
I have STi engine mounts to go in too so is everything worth it, especially the engine mounts?
Cheers.
