I'm already over work today. The bloke I'm always with is about 372 years old (actually in his mid 60's) and he delays everything so much. He hates being in the office but whenever we are on the field, he makes jobs last double the time it takes to do it. And he stalls, talks with the council blokes and contractors for hours about bullshit and has a few bad habits I've noticed since I first started with him.

Whenever we are travelling from job to job I go on my phone. He really subtly hints that he hates how people nowadays use their phones all the time and how much they have taken over life. May be he is right, but fork me what do you expect when I'm doing fork all and couldn't give two shits about how annoying people are, how much drains get clogged with leaves and shit because people don't clean up after themselves, how ridiculous petrol prices are, how trees under power lines are cut in half so that they don't touch the lines; the list goes on and on.

Where I once really enjoyed my job in council, I'm really starting to get over it. For the reason above and a few others. That concludes my rant for today.

Now drive back to the office you cubt before I leave you at the hairdresser and drive off to the office with your car!

Gary, first guy to be surprised by a Council worker not being efficient.

It's not really about efficiency though. The chilled atmosphere and work/life balance is great, it's just the fact that he is the only one that fucks around so much it becomes unbearable. Even the 2IC, which is about my age and super smart, can't stand working with him. It's literally like watching a snail race from the middle of a circle to the edge, observing the intense struggle of it crawling ever so slowly to that edge only to do a 180 and fork around.

Kills me.
