This annual tradition has now grown from a smaller cruise of about 60 cars in the first years of running HVC, to now a day that sees Subaru Enthusiasts coming from all over the east coast of Aus to be apart of.

60 cars on the first one?! Wasn't there only 10 or so?

Good write up though :)

EDIT: yep - found the old thread and there was 15 Subaru's on the inaugural HVC!!

met a few more at Peats Ridge. Crazy how far it's come from 15 cars  :sarcastic:

The very first "cruise" was Dylan and i testing his car out after his conversion. Were looking for somewhere to give a good run and thought afterwards that it would be a good place for a club cruise!

I remember that. You guys were scouting out good meet spots. I guess the very first HVC was 2 or 3 cars then!?

There's a YouTube video of that somewhere...

Wow, that's insane. Well done SubyClub and to those that keep this club alive. It's grown from something really small to a constant influx of Subarus and SubyClub members from all over Australia.

Article is great and the exposure is even better. An attempt for the Guinness World Record next year? ;)

Bit of a shame they/he got the original number of HVC attendees wrong, detracts from how far the cruise has come!

I'm sure if someone was to send an email to them they would edit the article.

i remember attending the 2012 cruise and I think there was about 150 cars for that one and thought that was epic wish I could have made this years one.  Might have to make the trip from over west for next year.  Just out of curiosity is there a possible date set for next years one so I can start planning for it.

Cheers

Anthony
