Picked up a 2015 Polo GTI last week, 6 speed manual, 1.8L turbo.

Only plans for it so far a tune (once they exist) and perhaps some lowering springs. Great little car with tons of torque and even better fuel economy.

I did look at the leather interior, but the cloth interior is a lot nicer in person than it is in pictures.

I think this is the first year they are offering the manual in these  :D

Correct on the MT box. The twin charged engine was scrapped and the new 1.8 is part of the EA888 family, now.

Should be able to wring some decent juice out of it after a tune!

Any reason for going the GTI over a more involving Fiesta ST?

I hope so!  :D

I'm a fan of the fiesta, the interior is weirdly placed though, feels a bit odd whereas the polo is laid out a lot better. The fiesta would have been the second choice for sure.

Looked at the new Kia hot hatch which is an interesting car too, a bit bigger though.

Nice buy man. It looks really elegant. Second car or getting rid of the wagon?

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

I'm quite fond of the Kia GT, looks menacing on the road, especially in white. Apparently it gets a bit ragged at it's upper limits, though.

Recent comparo in Motor saw the Fiesta just pip the GTI. The Fiesta won out with it's chuckability and fun-factor, though obviously the GTI is a much more polished car to deal with day to day.

The Fiesta is probably due for a facelift soon where i'm sure the interior will be updated inline with the latest Focus facelift. Otherwise the centre stack looks pretty overkill and cheap.

Top choice though! I would love a weedy hatchback that's turned up to 11! I still miss my Focus XR5 alot!

I'll be keeping the wagon, I drive it every weekend and any time I need to lug something around. The girlfriend will probably end up driving this car as well.

The Kia does look good, bit hard to see out of though, the back window is tiny.

I'm keen to see the new Focus RS if it comes to Australia, looks like it'll be a monster!

Nice, glad you got the 1.8.

I had the 1.4 GTI. I called it my two stroke polo!

Nice purchase.

Interior looks very interesting, I like that steering wheel.

Love the front of these vs the old front, those sharp lines at the bottom of the front bar really set it off.
