hey guys, so I'm completely lost when it comes to exhaust option's for my Subie
got a bit of money to burn don't really want to do headers at the moment, can someone recommend a good
setup for me and maybe a rough ball point in terms of price? Also sorry if I sound like a newb just wanted to educate myself
before I do something stupid

Thanks :D

2.25 mild steel catback with an oval muffler. Probably around the $400 mark. Dont expect any power, just better noise. That said NA subarus sound average with an exhaust without UEL headers. Just my 2c

I wouldn't bother with an exhaust at all. Money better spend on handling mods/maintenance stuff.

true!, my 200k service is coming up too, just curiosity plus I'm sticking with this car for another 4 years, just sick of it sounding like an electric car lol.
How much would UEL headers run me? and can someone put together a good list of parts for me :) just so I can start saving up after my service :)

- UEL Headers (Borla Reps) I think they go around $350 new, go second hand for around $250 or if you just wait you'll find a bargain, I got mine for $70
- Catback with an oval muffler (looks the best, single tip, imo) could possibly by second hand ~$100-200 or could get it made custom from an exhaust shop for around the $200-$300 or a lot more, depending on what muffler you wanna get.

You could also change your cat to a high flow, but not worth it in my opinion. ~$200

If you find the right prices mate you can get a good set up much cheaper, mine cost me $570 for SS Heads (Borla UEL) and SS cat back to oval varex and it sounds mint gen 3 RX

But go mild steel and it'll be cheaper.
