Pushed the fozzy out to give her a wash, polish and wax!

And starting putting the brake system back in the engine bay!

Oh and also sold the TMIC and bought a FMIC!

Hmmm... FMIC looksl like a gutter catcher!

Otherwise she's looking good mate! I hope it all goes back together without scratching that neat engine bay paint work ;)

Cheers

Picked up a 02 Outback bumper as I wanted something that would cover the Intercooler so I didn't have to cut the Forester bumper VL turbo spec.

Trimmed a bit more off the corners after this photo.

Cut one side and fitted EPMAN quick release.

Still have to cut the other side and cut out the holes for the cooler piping! But it covers the core nicely!

Thoughts? I personally love it! All cutting and trimming was done with a rotary tool, very handy thing to have and can get them for under $50!

I would never have thought of using an outback bumper for that job on the Foz!

Neat mod and probably cheap to replace if ever needed in the future :D

Cheers

The holes in the top of the Outback bar that I had to cut due it it being raised there were annoying me as cops will be able to see that I'm not running a crash bar due to the front mount so I had a go at plastic welding to fix it! Did pretty good for my first go I reckon! Still got a bit to go then I can sand it and paint it!

Done a fair bit on it in the past few months. Picked up a GC8 WRX steering rack, fitted Whiteline rack & pinion bushes to it and Trupro rack boots.
49597641633_35e2b43c3b_c.jpg
Also picked up some WRX 4 pots and 294mm rotors. Getting the calipers painted and doing the seals in them.
49598390732_deb00bf9d9_c.jpg
49597641213_4fe54270d5_c.jpg
Also finally got around to doing the valve cover gaskets.
49598390457_09c31c7b07_c.jpg
Also redone the plastic welding on the Outback bar as it kept breaking. Much stronger now. Just needs to be sanded and painted.

A bit of an update on the fozzy. Painted the motor just to make it look a bit cleaner.
49598408847_5f0dcf78c3_c.jpg
And got the 4 pots painted and I did all the seals in them. What do ya's think about the colour?

New wheels! Old ones didn't clear the 4 pots. Correct diameter for the fozzy guards too. Tucks tyre now!

Those rims look mint from that angle! I reckon the yellow calipers will give it a good bit of “look at me, look at me” without being over the top.

Cheers

Yep, looks very schmick.

Unfortunately I'm in SA & the more bling the more it's noticed by the Gendarmes so the bigger chance to have to take it over the dreaded Regency pits.  A long while back a work mate was pulled over in his very immaculate EB GT and was duly informed things didn't look right so it had to go to Regency.  Two trips later they let through his very mint close to original GT but it cost him each time and they picked up on things he or his mechanic weren't even aware of.  Beware.

Cheers guys!
Pushed it out for a wash and to take some better photos with the wheels! Love it! Also chucked the 4 pots on just to make sure they clear and they do!

Well. A mate decided to sell his wheels and I just had to buy them! Love them!

Also pulled the rear bar off to clean behind it. Was so many rocks in there. From when I use to rally it. haha

Hadnt seen this thread before but that front bar really does suit it. Keen to see the end result after cleaning up and painting the welded bits.
Latest rims look the goods too.
I like how you keep changing rims and the furthest it drives is from the garage to the driveway :)
