Can this be done? I done a black faced cluster swap into my Gen 3 Legacy just by re pinning all the wires, Can the same thing be done in the V3 STi. Big fan of the white background and pretty lights and hate the V3. 

V3 cluster (Does anyone know why some have the carbon fibre and others dont? Mine doesnt)

 

V4/5/6 cluster (im assuming all 3 versions are the same)

If you can shoe horn the cluster in there and swap to an electronic speedo you should be able to make it work. There is slight differences in wiring between 4/5/6 IIRC

Thats where my next question comes in, Would a V5/6 complete dash be a straight swap into my V3? This would solve the dash differences aswel as give me the extra storage compartments and a cup holder =)

 

What does it take to swap to an electronic speed? Am i better off getting the electronic speed censor from a wrecked 4/5/6 or going after market. Will do some googling to get an understanding of how it all works now

I'd be surprised if the dash didn't physically swap straight over but the wiring side of things would be a headache and a half. Electronic Speedo just got an oem one from a later car
