Lads,

Anyone know of a reasonable supplier for some handbrake shoes? Looked online and they seem rather expensive.. mine are squealing bad and starting to drag on the inside of the rotor drum. Sounds like a rusty trampoline back there.

If they are not excessively worn, maybe you could just de-glaze them and re-adjust?

 

I always place a smear of hi-temp copper grease where the shoe pad contacts the backing plate, goes a long way to reducing the squeal.

 

 

 

 

Normally (in other brands anyway) the shoes virtually never wear out.

 

Are you doing screaming handbrake turns often? :)
