So the missus finally gave in and last night I picked up this 2006 na Forester. This car will stay mainly stock as it needs to be a reliable daily but I will be adding WRX suspension to lower it abit, getting the windows tinted and cleaning it up a bit from the usual wear and tear over the years. It is in pretty good nick for a 9 year old car with 224,000kms on the clock. I will next year be getting some new rims for the STI so the gloss black rota gforce on that will most likely end up on the Forester.

Nice purchase mate, much easier albeit less conspicuous school pickups. And good score with roof racks.

Haha yeah just a little bit. Plus the STI with 400kw will be a bit heavy on fuel for a daily on E85 with 2000cc injectors lol

Yeah im stoked. 2006, Auto, roof racks, tow bar, tyres are less then 12 months old, 11 months rego got it for $6000 off a friend. Going to get it professionally detailed next week hopefully and get all the swirl marks and light scratches off it. Interior still looks like new considering it has 224,000 kms on the clock

I had the car detailed and paint correction done today by AzNew Detailing. Car came out a lot better but still needs some TLC from the paintless dent guy.

I went to Autobarn today and got the tool i needed to remove the Rhino-racks. I think it looks alot better with out the roof racks on it.

Do you reckon PDR will sort out that front wheel guard? I've got a very similar dent in mine, maybe a little less deep.

Its not really a dent more of a scratch. Im not sure if it has been popped out previously. My mate is a spray painter so me and him will hopefully be doing a close door respray on it when the STI is back on the road and we will colour code the black bars, door trim, door handles and chrome strip on the boot lid.

I decided to give the wipers and wiper crowl a coat of flat black paint as they were looking very rough. Here is some before and after pics. Also if anyone has the cap i'm missing off the wiper bolt let me know. (Car needs a wash after last nights rain)

I decided to give the towbar a coat of black paint. All these little things are making the car look better.

The pillars on the car were looking terrible so I decided to paint them black. Will look better once I get some really dark tint in the car.

I've got some of those wiper screw caps floating around somewhere in the shed. If I can unearth one I'll stick it in the post for you.
