Looking at getting DBA T2 rotors for the Outback but need a knowledgeable person to guide me on what I can fit with stock calipers. I have a feeling 294mm and 290mm diameter are going to be too big. Will I have to go for around 170mm?

If you are leaving the calipers, then the OEM diameter is the only option.

TBH if you use the money for the rotors towards a set of GenIV GT-B or 30RB 316mm calipers and rotors, you will be better off.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

No dogbones needed for the front brakes (316mm) but you do need 17inch rims.

The rear rotors will be 290 solid, standard 4 cyl outback.

OEM diameter is 294/290 mm.

Just be careful - rears are 10mm solid, not 18mm ventilated like the B4 (Though I'm assuming that the rear calipers are different -- maybe they're not and you can run 18mm ventilated ?).

The rear vented disc type caliper (B4/H6) is different to the solid type caliper.
