Thanks for the kind words guys.

To add to the mods list, I've been considering the BFM/B4 blacked out cluster but not too keen on problems with the engine lights and whether it will be accurate etc. If anyone who has done this can tell me if there's any other disadvantages that'd be great! :)

Cheers.

Good Lord those Enkeis look awesome!

The BFM cluster is one of my favourite mods I've done to my car. I highly recommend it. It seems like a daunting job at first but it's not so bad; you just do one wire at a time until you're done.

Shouldn't have any issues at all, if you're not confident wiring it up Nick (Barbachello) was making plug n play harnesses a while ago, you could ask if he's still doing them?

Mine works great, the only thing is the drivers rear door light comes on, but that’s probably a loose wire.

The other thing is finding a matching BFM for your car, will have to be a 4 cyl cluster, and preferably with a 6500 red line (did any NA 4cyls come with the BFM?) which may be harder to find. I'm sure any 4 cyl cluster will work though.

Awesome looking car, btw!

Thanks again for the kind words guys. I took a leisurely drive down to Wollongong yesterday to get some JDM parts!

Picked up a Legacy bonnet with scoop, Front bar with lip, and a BFM cluster.

I talked to the bloke I bought these parts off about my plans. I asked about lowering options and mentioned coilovers, he said they'd be too stiff - great for track, terrible for daily, and this being my daily that will probably never see a track he said just go for normal lowered springs..

So now I just want recommendations for lowered springs that are on par or better than stock. Just want a fairly comfortable ride, that's got a lower height, and won't feel like a boat going through corners.  All I've really heard of are Kings springs, any other affordable and good options?

Thanks again guys!

Judging by that new pic, you've already got some rear end sag. You put lowered springs on old struts and you're going to accelerate their decline.

Get some JDM Bilsteins with the STi pink springs.

I have them on mine, perfect balance between height and comfort.

You could fit just the springs alone also.

+1 to Billies + STI Pinks.

Not all coilovers are going to be rubbish for street though bud, I've heard heaps of good reviews about BC's for street use. Someone even said those K-Sport ones were really comfy on street.

Welcome to SC,

Most coilovers can be adjusted, so just make em softer when needed.

I have JDM bilsteins with king springs on my wags, it handles great. If I was starting out again, I would go straight to coilovers.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you get wagon suspsion, as sedan stuff will sag and be lower at the rear.
