Gents,

Wondering if anyone has a 02 STI 5x100 with factory R180, chasing a vin number so I can get part numbers for the rear spindles to convert my Gen 3 to r180 rear end

Cheers

Rear axle parts for ADM 2002 STi - https://partsouq.com...&cid=3&uid=8879

Unfortunately it doesn't offer the spindle on its own, the only way i can see there of getting the spindle is buying a complete unit for $549 USD :(

I looked into this. Really the only ways to get a R180 in a Gen 3 are to get custom driveshafts, get custom CV races from guy in the states (weakest option) or get AM Auto to machine your rear hubs to accept STI wheel bearings

I have done this! Hence why we are looking for Sti spindles. It is the only part required
You then get the spindle machined to suit

So is it the outer CV spindle (part that goes into the hub) or the driveshaft end spindle (that goes into the outer CV race)?

The R160 driveshafts are the weak point in the system

I run a full r180 shaft. The piece with the studs hanging out of it( the spindle as I refer to it)
Is the only piece I modified! I dismantled a set of sti hubs to get one part for each side... The spindle... Or the part in the hub with the studs that the disc goes over and the wheel bolts on to. Machines to suit and pressed into a new bearing carrier which bolts directly to
The aluminium swing arm/ hub in a gen3! Standard sized discs used and well as standard wheel bearings(replaced). With standard hand brake
Plus dog bone adaptor with rear two pots.
Currently pushing 267kw at all axles on pump 98. It works... Don't tell me it can't be done!

If you need anymore info bring some beer for me to drink while you take measurements!
