Totally love the RS's! Great story you've got with yours - and you're able to work quickly on it from reading your posts - very jealous about this!!

Nice work. Do like the sound of an RS. They always seem to sound different to the normal turbo subaru

I've been told that this is due to a difference in the original RS heads with the exhaust port length/design.

Cheers

Thanks guys, its come a long way since it arrived in our driveway.. Still a long way to go before I'll be happy with it. The plan is to get it professionally painted but there's no way that can happen before HVC so maybe before next year.. I also want to find a replacement for the canon, not a huge fan and it's very loud

http://www.ebay.com....-/361531414192?

These look great on RS's imo and sound awesome too not as loud as a cannon because they are oval body. not sure on RS fitment being GD but cant imagine they would be crazy different

:yahoo:

After a huge stuff around with a 10-11 year old EPA defect the RS is finally registered!

A fair bit has happened since the last update, important bits are TD04 installed, Xforce muffler fitted (Not greatly) and the body has been cleaned up alot. I'm currently chasing a vacuum leak/misfire/bad idle when the car is cold but apart from this problem it's almost ready for HVC. The plan is to keep driving it when I can to make sure it'll survive the cruise, up the boost a little and find any other faults that could arise

That's looking really nice, great work.

There should be a few nice RS's at HVC this year.

I'm hopeful they'll be on before HVC, but either way they'll be going on it

Been a while since I updated this, the RS has been going well apart from a few parts needing replacement. Added a TD05 and a Defi gauge to keep an eye on everything.

Cutting a long story short, I decided I wasn't too happy with the body condition of it so began looking for a clean replacement.

Enter this 1993 RS Wagon, 316,000kms, Completely original, First owner, Full service history and Purchase history.

Included in the sale was a booklet full of everything that was done to the car since it left the dealership, even every single registration certificate and the bill of sale.

Plan is to clean the engine up, fix up some oil leaks and enjoy a RS exactly how Subaru made it.

(Anyone want a RS Sedan for $3500?)

Is the red pinstrip under the chrome factory? Never seen that.

Does it have the RS heads or WRX ones?

Not certain about the pinstrip, have seen a few others with it. It had the WRX heads put in at 125,000km by Subaru, though the heads were very noisy when it's cold
