Yeah I know, I bought an automatic so my wife can also drive the car, but honestly I hate auto's 😃 and I'm now secretly gathering parts to do the conversion. Anyone done one of these before? If someone on here was considering going from manual to automatic that would be sweet. Any help appreciated. I have found most of the gear available from a '94 model but not sure if everything will fit up.

I have a 92 liberty wagon that was an NA auto originally. It has a 94 wrx driveline including manual 5 speed.

I was planning to tear it apart and see how it was done. Actually planned to swap the driveline into a cleaner gen 1 liberty wagon. But don't have the time.

I'd be looking for a guide. There must be something written up online.

I did do a conversion on a first gen RX7 some years back.... Doing this will be a bit more of a pain with the ecu stuff.

If both donor and current are AWD, it's going to be easy, like 2 wires.. Rest is just remove refit.

Found a 98 rex which could be a good donor vehicle, I think everything would be a straight swap over. The ecu might be the hurdle, will the manual ecu plug straight in? I think there may be some pin difference
