Hi

We are, I know it is a bit far, but if next year is at Eastern Creek will be same for that out off state people, so I think it is only right to support the Victorians with it this year as NSW has ran it twice. We intend driving up Friday, doing event Sat/Sun and heading home on Monday. Looking forward to having a run around Phillip Island, probably the only chance I'll get. I think this event will only get better as it goes along

I'd just like to take this opportunity to fill you in on all the activities the club will be running soon as part of SubiNats 2016.

What is SubiNats?
SubiNats is an annual gathering of all the WRX clubs from around Australia and this year will be the third time it has been run. For the last two years it has been hosted by the NSW WRX Club at Wakefield Park raceway near Goulburn, however this year it is the Victorian WRX Club's turn to host it. Whilst the main venue will be the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, there will also be a number of other events held over two and a half days in various locations and I would encourage you to join in as many as you can as this year's SubiNats festival will undoubtedly be the biggest Subaru-only event in Australia.

The SubiNats website can be found here:

Friday the 1st of July - Melbourne
Subaru Interactive @ Docklands will be hosting us for an afternoon event starting at 2:00pm which will include a skidpan demonstration by Subaru Australia rally driver Molly Taylor, and a state versus state dyno battle between the top guns who have been chosen to represent each state. Subaru will also have the upcoming Levorg wagon and Forester tS models on display for you to get an early peek at. For those planning to stay down on Phillip Island over the weekend there will also be a cruise down to the Island departing from Subaru Docklands at the completion of the event.

For more information click on the following links:

Saturday the 2nd of July - Phillip Island
On Saturday the action will kick off with an early morning cruise around the local twisties. This will depart the Phillip Island area at 8:00am then return to Cowes for some morning tea and the SubiNats car display, which will be held near the jetty from about 11:00am. At 3:00pm we will then move to the go kart track, located next to the grand prix circuit, for the SubiNats Go Karting Championship. Those wishing to compete in this should see the information at the link below. Finally, on Saturday night I hope that you will join us for the SubiNats welcome dinner in the 19th Hole function room at The Phillip Island Golf Club in Cowes. This will start at 7:00pm and Subaru Australia rally driver Molly Taylor will be our guest of honour on the night. A three course meal will be provided and the cost is $50 for adults and $15 for children under 12 years of age. Places are limited and you will need to reserve and pay for your seats by following the link below.

For more information click on the following links:

Sunday the 3rd of July - Phillip Island
Sunday is the main day of SubiNats so even if you can't come down to Phillip Island for the whole weekend I hope to see as many of you as possible at the Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday. The main event is of course the SubiNats sprints, starting at 9:00am and sponsored by ProSpeed Racing and Blouch Turbo. This will feature only Subaru cars from a number of states around Australia. There will also be a Show and Shine sponsored by Tuspeed starting at 9:30am. A number of our other sponsors will have stands set up displaying their products so please come along and speak to them about any of your Subaru needs. Between 10:00am and 12:00pm there will be an opportunity to take photos or selfies with Molly Taylor and for those bringing children with them there will be an inflatable jumping castle between 10AM and 3PM alongside colouring in and other activities to keep the kids entertained.

For more information click on the following links:

Event Merchandise
There will also be SubiNats Merchandise available for purchase at the event including hats, beanies and polo shirts. The 2016 SubiNats polo shirt will be available in sizes ranging from XS to 5XL at a cost of $45 each. Numbers are limited so if you want to make sure you don't miss out you can pre-order them now for pickup from the club's merchandise stand at Phillip Island on Sunday the 3rd of July.

For pre-orders please follow this link :

Lastly, I'd also like to remind you all that Saturday the 2nd of July is the date for our upcoming federal election. For those of you who will be busy feeding your Subaru addiction on that date I recommend that you either arrange a postal vote or attend an early voting centre beforehand so that you don't need to worry about it on the day. For further information on how to do that please see the Australian Electoral Commission's website at http://www.aec.gov.au/

Hi

had a great weekend

Saturday, did the 2 hours cruise around area, a stop for photo shoot near beach

Saturday afternoon show & shine at harbour ( although we didn't have much shine after cruise  )

Sunday at track, again a show & shine so really nice cars to look at

On the track was fun happy with my time after driving up 1000 k/m and doing track day ( and home again )

Hopefully if back in Sydney next year will see more people from here. This event is getting bigger & better every year

Will try to find some links to photo's and video's off weekend

Neil
