Who else is following? I'm getting ready for a nocturnal sleep cycle this month after a cracker of an opening match thanks to Payet!

 

Predictions? Expectations?

 

Unfortunately due to SBS' shocking coverage I'm relegated to streaming it but can get most matches in pretty decent quality.

Of course I'm tuning in. Recording all games and watching live at the local Portuguese community club (massive crowds, flares, loud chanting/singing, you know the usual soccer riot stuff) for the Portugal games. First one to come is on Wednesday morning at 5 am against Austria.

 

Not surprised at the England vs Russia draw. England have lost their mojo many years ago.

 

France or Germany in the final. Still want to see how the games go though before picking a winner.

Iceland are mad underdogs. I do hope they are more successful in their campaign and make the finals; against Portugal of course. Portugal are way out of form and are playing appallingly. So many stupid mistakes and I get so frustrated when I watch them play. They have won the majority of games out of plain pot luck, as well as making it through the group stages as a performing 3rd placed team.

Let's hope they lift their game and give us a better spectacle on Friday morning's match against Poland.
