'04 XT with blown head gaskets and warped block - need to rebuild or drop in replace (prefer)

Considering: Rising Sun Subaru, All Drive Subaru, Ichiban and Deshel...

Any comments on above options, opinions or alternatives?

Investigate gotitrex too, they're offering some good packages now.

Sorry your engine has an epic sadness :(

Stay away from All Drive, theyre crooks...

It all depends on what your end goal is?

Just a daily, go for a low km swap... If youre rebuilding may aswell put strong internals in

putting a used engine in you might end up in the same place down the road.

Warped block as in the deck or ovalled cylinders?

Surely the deck/heads would just need a skim, slap on some new HG's and you're away? Happened to a mates Gen2 RX. Heads warped. Not heard of block warping though, would have to have been overheating at some serious temps.

If you have the space and time, you could whip your engine out yourself to save on labor cost?
