Hey guys, I picked up a 2000 Legacy GTB personal import the other week, good price for condition of the car.

Car was imported into Sydney and taken to Hobart where I just bought it back to Sydney!

The current state of the car is not ideal, got some mods I'm not a huge fan off, but It's mostly cosmetic stuff that can be fixed up.

Only issue with it, besides the rice zerosports bod kit, is the big cannon exhaust (sounds nice but looks like a Honda Civic), interior molestation (boost gauges and timers and crap, push button start), the sunroofs tracks are dirty and one of the plastics is out of place (looks fixable) however the motors sounds great! Suspension is a bit squeaky and the rear seat bar bushing needs replacing, and I think the tint is illegal. Lol

And lastly the power steering oil looks unhappy, gonna try find a manual and do a flush and replace the fluid this weekend :)

Pics of when I got the car home, more pics will come when some more 'un modding' has been done.

I also noticed the car has some sort of zerosports sequential controller, I believe it tries to control when the primary transitions into twin turbo mode. Anyone have any information on this?

Thanks, Pat.

Ah sweet Pat!

I'm glad you picked this thing up. Certainly looking forward to how it all goes! Looks to be in fantastic condition.

How did you go about getting it home?

Thanks Jim!

Can't wait to get into the car and start cleaning it up and get it running sweet.

Ended up getting it trucked, as I still can't drive it for a few months as I'm on my green ps. So I'm not driving it till I get my full license. Better to wait than risk losing it when it's only a few months. (And the $1000 fine)

Smart decision. If only more younger ones shared your sensibility.

So what's the plan for it? Looking to bring it back to standard specs?

Looks good man, I'd say ditch the waist spoiler and side skirts and it'll look better, but otherwise a sweet purchase.

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

Nice pickup.

I agree - lose the waist spoiler, skirts and cannon, and it'll be 11'ty times better.

The zerosports controller just lets you set when twins switch in and out, based on RPM, AFAIK.

Haha waist spoiler and side skirts were removed the day I got it guys.

Jim, they'll be for sale soon if you want them hahha. And yes, factory option spec with some tasteful mods is what I like.

Thanks guys.

I think there's only a very select number of aftermarket kits that look good.

You can't go wrong with the full factory option skirt kits IMO.

Tasmania eh. Was this the one that is supposedly the ZS demo car and had some stupid power at the wheels? Looks tidy though. I kinda dig the skirts and spoiler

Yeah^ "apparently" doesn't feel like insane power, nice to drive tho, it does have a zerosport ecu which idk much about, however nothing really in the car that says anything about it being zerosports brand asides from the body kit.

Does anyone know what the go is for checking for check engine codes or diagnostic tools for the GTB I recall reading they aren't OBD2 and they're SSM, which I don't know what that is. Anyone know the best diagnostic tool to use that could also be used on other cars?

You can check ecu codes via the single pin black plugs under the steering column. You will see a set undone under there.

The CEL will then flash a numerical sequence which you then match to the trouble code.

BOOM! Pat you legend! I see it's a 2000 but it looks like RevC foglights?

Duncan & West (over near Market town) look after the RSK and have SSM if you want. Harry is ex-subaru.

The tint is legal because it's a yellow-plate import. I can point you to the guy that did my NSW blue slip if you want. He's in Mayfield.

Wait up - have you moved??
