Have 16 inch stock wheels at the moment and was wondering if i changed them to aftermarket wheels that were 17inch would they still fit and would i have to get new tyres with the wheels.

Would depend on the width and offset of the rims. Yes you will need new tyres

Nah mate, a lot of people think they need to get the right size tyre for their wheels but they forget how malleable rubber is. If you have a hair dryer you can make your current 16" tyres fit your new 17" wheels. But you will need to use the MAX POWER setting. Also may need some vaseline and a hammer.

Hair straightener works a treat on the sidewalls and I have used a sandwedge press flat out on the tread.
