With the Forester oh so very nearly out of the picture, I have finally picked up the replacement.

I originally wanted an H6 Gen 4 wagon however an opportunity jumped up and slapped me right across the face. So I took it.

2009 MY10 Liberty GT Premium

2.5 turbo

6sp manual

One owner since new who is a family friend. Full Subaru service history, new tyres, new windscreen and new clutch.

So much more rear leg room than the Gen 4 which is a really big deal now there is someone back there and the boot isn't that small :P

All km are legit highway km and even though it's got 169,500 on the clock, it looks, feels and drives like a car with a fraction of that mileage.

There's a few things I've got planned. All aesthetic. Mods are still so expensive for these things haha.

I actually don't mind it at all man especially when a deal as good as this comes up. White is tops.

Nice one Morgs, it looks like a clean car...and last of its kind with the turbo and the manual!

Yeah true! Somewhat of a rare piece :P

After 7 days of ownership, can confirm that this car is awesome! So smooth and comfortable to drive.

Still have to get used to fancy features such as proximity keys, push button start and electric park brake. We don't realise how habitual we are until something is different!!!

Had a bit of time today so decided to see how the club spec wheels looked on the GT. I knew that 17s would be hard pressed to be any good but gave it a go anyway in hope that the width would be forgiving.

Started with the rear and that's when it all went wrong... Whoever had these wheels off last decided it was a good idea to just whack them on with a gun at full throttle. One stud was completely cross threaded and needed all my strength with a 3ft breaker to loosen it. 98.41% sure it was Bob Jane Erina. Thanks guys.

Good guy Sam to the rescue. Was able to pick up a new stud for me as I was at home with the little one and couldn't get out.

Next step was to remove rotor. Forgot to remove park brake before loosening so one of the pins let go. Damn it. Still getting used to this new tech!

Finally after some calming help from Josh I was able to remove said rotor and refit shoes!

Bashed out munted stud and will refit new one later tonight.

After all that, the wheels are crap. Way too small haha.

Hehe looks like a match box car!

Kudos for having a crack. Gen5 wheel arches look very unforgiving. I reckon minimum 19's to look at least like they belong!

Yeah it will have to be 19s. And will probably never happen.

Only just got it all back together. Thankfully, everything went better than expected!

Back to normal. Planning on lowering it slightly or are mods out of the question for this daily and for the comfort of your wife and bub?

She loved the Foz when it was modified. Was very sad when I had to return it to stock haha.

I'd love to do some small things to this car but I don't have the coin at the moment. I'm sure as time goes on I'll get a few things here and there but nothing major.

That's awesome. Jess is the same as well. She likes things stock but trusts me when I start modifying my cars.
