So I found a potential buyer for the 4.44 gearbox, so I'm going for the less expensive route. The rear diff and shaft will run me another $1000.

So I have been changes hoses in my car from day one to fix my boost leaks and I will prevail. Did another boost leak and found a crack on the intake piping that I change last year. This time I'm not Going to buy a second part again. Changing that intake piping out is a lot of work and money. But I found a silicone hose on eBay but it has six nipples vs five nipples that we have. I don't know if there is a different in the turbo snout size on them. I heard they are a slight difference in them.

Any one in here uses that silicone hose with the 6 nipples?
IF SO....Did it fit and all you had to do was plug that extra nipple?

I would to find out the size of the snout of the primary turbo? (Intake side)

plug up the extra nipple
The ebay silicone suits a revD - bigger VF32/33 snout(s?). Use the excess you cut off the ends to sleeve the inlet snout if you need to.

So I mines are the vf32 & vf33, so therefore the snout is 60mm. I also found both intake pipes with 50mm & 60mm sizes. So will order the bigger one. Thanks so much guys. This better be the last boost leak. Gosh!!

Will plan to get the gearbox and the intake change one time with the mechanic..

Anybody ever look at the close ratio gear stick? Was a thinking about that to install one time as well!!!
Since my stick shakes in every (gear) position..

shakey/wobbly gearshift is just the usual shift bushes in the knuckle gone bye-bye due to age &/or oil contamination.

Upgrade to poly bushes, or DIY fix by grinding off the rivet and replacing with a bolt and piece of fuel hose. http://www.subyclub....stick-cureable/

Also replace / upgrade to poly the link support bushes, and possibly the rear stay mount while you're under there. You can get kits like kartboy with both in them if you like spending money.

Only trick to all of this is removing the shifter roll pins.  There are two pins, one inside the other.  Remove the inner one first with a small punch, or you'll never get them out.

If a mechanic is replacing the box, just purchase the parts for him and get him to put them on.

So I’m so excited my silicone intake piping came in from China via fedex. However I think may have a snag.

He send in the model for bh5 twin turbo, how ever mines is JDM version ReV D with the vf33 primary turbo ej20.

So the snout size on this piping that I got is 50mm each side....

Will see if I can ship back the primary part of the hose and have him sent me the correct size piping.

What is left now is to find these aluminum piping to fit the sport filter, bov etc

Been a while...
Ok so finally got the correct silicone intake hose. And had it installed. Still no boost as yet. Ran a smoke test and saw no smoke escaping. Will hook up with my friend to pressurize the system to see if I can hear any leaks.

Meanwhile I was told I can use the 4.44 gearings and install them in my 4.11. So I’m going with that. I already dropped of the 4.44 gearbox to be dismantle and prep for surgery.
