Better late than never....

November is the eleventh and penultimate month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and the fourth and last month to have the length of 30 days. November was the ninth month of the ancient Roman calendar. November retained its name (from the Latin novemmeaning "nine") when January and February were added to the Roman calendar. November is a month of late-spring in the Southern Hemisphere and late-autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Therefore, November in the Southern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of May in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa. In Ancient RomeLudi Plebeii was held from November 4–17, Epulum Jovis was held on November 13, and Brumalia celebrations began on November 24. These dates do not correspond to the modern Gregorian calendar.

November was referred to as Blōtmōnaþ by the Anglo-SaxonsBrumaire and Frimaire were the months on which November fell in the French Republican Calendar.

Hi Jade.

P.S. They were Bridgestone S001's, Rosberg. Are yours 18" too?

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Took ages to type Simon.

So who has the GenIII wag that's still running a spare? Yours?

Hi Jade.

Yup, 225/40R18, I ordered P Zero's but they sold out and offered KU39 for cheaper than RRP.

You can get 4 S001s for ~$750 fitted from Bridgestone in 225/40R18 right now. But S0001 is a bit overkill for daily driving.

Nice. I'm leaning towards going for another brand once these are shot.

Really?

They don't look overly sporty to me. Even the RE003's look more grippy.

Bridgestone are fine. Just S001s are super soft and almost semi-slick so only good for dry weather, and probably 20k kms on Aus roads.

RE003 is a bit harder and therefore will last longer.

They are super soft and apparently out perform RE003 in dry, but wear out before 20k km.

Mmmmm

Might look up the tread wear rating. (140 rings a bell)

RE003 are 220.

I got my RE003 yesterday. Wasn't after the best tyre out there, I just missed the confidence I had in my B4. And yeah, it feels exactly the same. The car is less stressful to drive. Smoothed out the ride and a little more grip in the dry, hoping for a nice improvement in the wet.

Dunlop RT are up on Gumtree. They had a better turn in feel, but the harder compound was killing me. Slippery in the wet and uncomfortable. Once they let go, it was really only the AWD giving back some grip.

Oh hai

Hey.

It's quite noticeable going to new tyres, even from something good to something average. All tyres will harden with age and grip drops off. On the GenIII I went from Hankook RS3 to Sumitomo HTR ZIII, which is a far step backwards, and it still felt like had grip to spare and was much better to drive.

Biggest change was on the XU-1, the 19yo Toyo 600F3's were no match for the Sumitomo HTR200's. :) Totally transformed the car and was like power steering had been fitted!

RE003 are well regarded. Pretty popular tyre.

Im happy with mine, but still spewing AD08R's are no longer made in my size.

Switching from the OEM Michelins on the 86 to the KU39s was unreal, the OEM tyres sent you sideways but the Kumhos hold on, and they're not even the best tyre in that bracket.

I'm a bit miffed though, having only had to replace tyres on the Foz once (at 70,000km) I'll probably be buying 2 sets of tyres for the 86 within the first 6 months (the current KU39s and racing semi-slicks). Although, with careful driving the Kumhos should last >25,000km so at least 3yrs of my driving.

Have to say the Geolandars on the Foz were awesome, had them for years and even when I replaced them they were still doing well.

RE003s are a bit overhyped by mcm fans with lots of stickers on their car imo

In other news, moving to brissy today!

Yeah they're overhyped, but also affordable on a Maccas wage. I only got them because of the deal and past experience having them on the B4. The WRX now feels like the B4 to drive, rather than rattling my bones. Kinda weird. Like getting the same breed of puppy after your dog dies.

Speaking of puppies, we contacted one of the breeders we got a dog from before. We're putting our name down for a puppy from the next litter. The female is the great granddaughter of the breeding female we adopted about 9 years ago.

Where in Brissy?

Ha is that why? I hear them being thrown on a lot, but science says greater sample size more accurate results, and a lot of kids say their RE003s are worth it. So that's something positive.

Honestly tyres is a bigger topic with 86/BRZ than I've ever seen it with other Subarus. Makes a huge difference on these cars, where as I always felt the Subarus could have anything thrown on and still perform.

Also congrats Nax, I'm a Brissy boy. And also where, cos if it's southside....Game Over
