So I've swapped in the EJ206 into my outback over the past week. It starts and runs but cylinders 3 and 4 aren't firing. I've replaced all coil packs, same problem swapped the o2 sensor with a spare and still no change, I have a new one on its way anyway. I can unplug the 2 rear coil packs while its running and it makes no difference but if I do the same to the front it dies. I've had a multimeter on the coil pack plugs and they're getting power to them. But it's still running real lumpy and hardly revs.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Cheers

So thought I'd do a little more digging. Pulled the coil packs off with a spark plug in them, all sparked.
Then decided to swap 2 and 4 injectors and what do you know the problem went from cylinder 4 to cylinder 2.

Anyone got a cheap set of working yellow tops?

sure its the injectors and not the electrics?

Test them on the bench with a battery.

I'd be checking continuity from the injector plugs back to the ECU, too.

Phoned the bloke who cleaned and flow tested them for me, suggested supplying each one with battery voltage and tapping them with a screwdriver because they may be a bit sticky. So did that now it runs perfect. May have just been sticky from sitting around for a while, lucky I didn't order a new set lol

Very common with side feeds that have sat for a bit.
