About to leave Adelaide after a work trip to Pt Augusta.

So my house is a pile of frame components and a slab. We met the site manager yesterday and he reckons (weather permitting) it should be standing by the end of next week.

 

Was hoping to 'officially' move out of my parents before my 30th but the timeline of the build will take us just past that. I've been living between my girlfriends place and my parents place for the past 3 years. It gets tiring going between the two houses. Cheaper than renting anyway.

I'm the same with my girlfriend going to her house and then her coming over my place; it's taking its toll especially when you leave earlier in the morning to go home and get ready for work, etc.

I'm not sure what's easier - that way of living or living together with kids...  We can't give the kids back so at least you've got options/flexibility in your current arrangements

 

We're still cleaning sections of the house!     Almost got all the calcium/lime/shit build up from the bowl of the dunny below the water line.  Today should have the bathroom fully cleaned up an operational.  It smells like a chemical factory in there

 

The brumby is doing a good job of moving stuff to the house, but I've got two issues:  pinging with heavy throttle load (tried to retune it, timing was at 2 deg btdc, I've got it set at 4 deg btdc and it seems to be a good compromise.  So a few things to look at there to work that issue.  The second is a leak in the radiator - still being kept at bay by running the thermo fans all the time - but I feel it's a matter of time before it really goes pop on me.

 

Otherwise I've been enjoying the carting of stuff, especially with the roof glass out

What's going on man? Long time no see.

 

Everything is going well. The unit we bought has been delayed by an extra two months so we're moving in in October instead of August which sucks but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

 

Not yet. That'll come closer to when we move in together. New car is on its way.

Well, since the big move up north to benders I've only got my two running subi's and the family bus (VT). The others are spread out at mate's places.

Once the shed's in order I should have 4 subi's and the VT in total.

Tomorrow night I'll have a "guest of honour" with us for two weeks - my sister's Gen3 liberty. Hoping to do a gearbox swap while it's here. Her's has developed a bearing noise in the middle of the box, it can be heard at idle in neutral.

Thanks mate. Just checked at work and it should be arriving on the 2nd or 3rd of April apparently. The car has arrived on the ship which is good at least.

 

I have never owned a brand new car before and the anticipation is killing me. We have a couple in the showroom now and I just can't stop looking at them inside and out. Seems to be a really nicely built car and they perform really well.
