Bought an 02 Bugeye RS last week, wanting advice of anything I should be keeping an eye on mechanically. It's done just shy of 200000km, hasn't had a timing chain replacement amongst the paperwork the previous owner had and from what I know that's due each 100k. New clutch and flywheel a few years back, regularly serviced.

Looking to throw new window tint in and probably a set of projector headlights to begin with at least. Won't be anything too much it's a daily but give me some ideas there too if you can

- timing belt - not chain. Do the water pump and replace belt tensioner at the same time (get a kit).

- change the oil every 5k

- suspension and other rubbers (mounts etc) probably on their way out - especially inner rear of front lower control arms (big s-shaped things bolted to chassis)

Thanks mate, yeah timing belt* mate who is a 4th year mechanic reckons he can get the kit via work and install for me so that's the first job on the list.
