My 2014 basic model Forester's radio won't pair with my mobile.  It pairs and then drops out after the engine is turned off.  The previous owner's details show up too.  There are US blogs that talk about these issues.  It seems to be a software issue. My local Subaru dealership has given up on this and won't do anything about it as the used car warranty only covers mechanical things.

Anyone who has been through this?

regards

Robyn

I would honestly just go with a cheap Android headunit, which you can replace yourself. Prices would be under $200. This will result in less problems. The 2014 technology in Subaru headunits is lightyears behind current tech.

Otherwise check ae64.com to see if he has tips.

Thank you for the advice.  Any suggestions for a cheap Android unit?  My main use is to answer the phone whilst driving.

Secondary use is listen to the radio but that's about it.

Atoto A6 would have more than you could ever need. Also Joying do good touchscreen units.

If you don't need the screen and just want that basic stereo but with bluetooth JB HIFI regularly has sales on their units and you negotiate for free install.
