Hi all, im kinda new to forums so lemme know if im doing something wrong

i am looking to do a muffler delete on my 2009 impreza RS (2.0L model) and i was wondering if i would have any problems with backpressure? was thinking of doing a 2.25inch or 2.5 inch pipe. ive read about loss of low end torque as a result of reduced backpressure and was wondering if this would be a problem if i did a muffler delete? (keeping stock cat and resonator and piping, just replacing the muffler with straight piping) also curious as to any similar setups other people are running

would greatly appreciate any help

cheers

The lower the back pressure the better, but if you make the piping too large the exhaust gas will flow slower, I think people usually go with 2.25" as a max on 4cyl EJs.
