I have an SF5 Forester 2.0 non turbo sohc version, the heater fan wasn't blowing / working at all, went to the wreckers today to grab some bits and bobs for the interior that was missing from previous owner etc and I grabbed another heater fan blower unit.

I plugged that all up and it still wasn't working and from googling and that my problem might be the Heater Fan Resistor but I am looking at a PDF of the Forester Workshop manual thing and I can't see to see the location I have that RHD is different from LHD models.

Does anyone have any input to suggest were the resistor is located?

I've used the search feature and come up short.

Does the heater fan work on full speed?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
