Time to do it properly now, i want to connect my boost gauge positive wire to the headlights so it illuminates only when i turn my lights on, whats the way to go about this, which is the right wire. Any help thanks

use the dash illumination signal which goes to all the dash lights & radio, tap into it somewhere handy (my boost gauge is in driver's air vent, so I think I tapped off the fog-light switch illumination in the panel next to the steering wheel. They all illuminate with the headlights).

Wire 'V' is +12V, and 'BW' goes to the illumination module, which controls dash brightness. Your light needs to go between those.
