Hi,

I had front and rear brake pads replaced 6mths ago and ever since front brakes make a loud  grinding metal on metal scraping sound  at very low speed forward and reverse . Been back  to the my mechanic a few times and rotors have been replaced twice ( different supplier ) and brake pads replaced twice. Last time rotors were replaced no noise for a week and then grinding sound has come back again.

I know that good quality brake pads were used.

I trust my mechanic but will need to take it for second opinion as its that loud that I wouldnt buy it if I  took it for test drive.

Any opinions on what might be cause.

Thanks

Have you looked into the condition of the bearings?

And what vehicle are we talking about here?

Cheers
