Hey all just joined as I'm looking to buy a 2007 Liberty 2.5I B4 sedan and I'm looking for information about them. I know being a Subaru build quality would be good but what are spare parts costs like? TIA Bones269

Gday Bones,

I can’t really say how prices are. Subaru’s typically love genuine parts. Local dealerships charge like a raging bull but there are other places to get genuine parts from OS.

What did you decide on with your purchase thoughts?

Cheers

I have had a Legacy(Liberty) wagon for a year....got my mechanic to replace the drivers side wiper blade when he was completing a full service.. He rang Subaru for a price...$79.00. Is that OK? I nodded yes, couldnt speak.

I accepted that but recently I replaced the passenger side wiper using a SCA item at the pricely sum of $27.00

There's money to be made from the genuine parts it seems....must be the nice packaging.

$79 must of been for the wiper head assy, not just the rubber insert.

The 86548ag120 wiper rubber is under $30 here in oz.

correct...the rubber was fine but the tension across the blade was failing especially the inner/lower end.
