Nice dude. Gonna do the T51R mod to the tarbo? Looks like it'd be easy to do considering the intake flange is bolted on. I wanna do it to mine, but will wait until I get the motor out to make it easier.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Dont know if you can do it to something as small as a stock inlet. Good time for a 3" inlet turbo with that nice 1 piece intake manifold you have

First weekend with new shitter here we go

Saturday:
Moved it into its new home (caught by the clutch switch again)
SiMIeCf.jpg

She needs some TLC
5cPXj5J.jpg

First job was changing out the door cards and swapping my speakers in
siE8CHY.jpg

Thankfully no butchery and the rear speakers were the oem McIntosh so could swap my speakers straight into the oem mounts.

Then i pulled the centre console/radio stack out and found the butchery
MCx30pA.jpg

and plenty of human mess
mmc1jyD.jpg

While that was out for cleaning i swapped in my GD STi handbrake lever
i9l781k.jpg

and stripped the rest of the interior to get the carpet out. Thankfully no surprises
PWwGLb9.jpg

I planned on dying it black but it came up really nice with a shampoo and pressure wash so nice dark grey it can stay
JmgNBAH.jpg

Weirdly the Mcintosh amp bypass was done nicely with a name brand deutsch connector
fp2ly6R.jpg

Carpet back in and minty fresh
WvQejAS.jpg
D0GafrD.jpg

Sunday:
Didnt take many photos of this but header liner and roof trims out and painted with Duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint. It looks super stripy but thats just how the light shines through or something.
ocljTXP.jpg
Finish on the trims is perfect
Hln86H3.jpg
and back in
tdoar3k.jpg
I need to sauce, sort something out for the last beige trims between the trims and the weather seals.

Overall shot. New headunit is just dummy fit to see if i needed to trim the dash at all. I dont :)

Im cooked

Nice Nick! What's doing with the drivers seat? I need to replace some broken side trim on mine, that's all.
The ol' twist and tape job ay! That's seriously rough as guts. Someone needs to be shot. First time I've seen it, ever. Always thought people were joking when they say it, but this is proof that it happens. Wow.

I thought you were a bit quiet over the weekend! Top effort!

I don’t know how you managed to dry your carpet in the weather we had! It looks great. And that was a fair effort to pull the roof lining out, not an easy task on the RS, maybe they made it easier on the later models...

What else is left to do interior wise other than the head unit install?

Cheers

That was a huge about to get done over a weekend. Nice effort!

I had no idea that an Impeaza hand brake lever fits in a GenIII. Are GenIII and mGen IV the same?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

We had about 4-5 hours of sunshine in Bacchus. Borrowed the missos hair dryer for the last few bits too haha. Roof liner shouldnt be too hard in the RS. Just the upper trims, lights and a couple of push clip dealies. Unless you have a sunroof...

Pictures suggest the gen 4 lever is very very different. Doubt itd work. A GR STI one might

That’s odd! Should go buy a Tatts ticket...

You guys back at work now or still in a lockdown. Benders will probably get one in the next day or two...

Made a clandestine mission after work the other night to get my old old seats that had basically been put into a spare room since i sold them and just gathered dust haha.

Absolutely loving the interior. Ideally the drivers seat wouldnt be chewed out on the bolster but the price is right and could be fixed by an upholsterer, but thats a black hole of getting both seats recovered and probably 4 digits

Do the gen 3 seats bolt to gen2 bolt points Barbs? Would be nice if they did.

Looking good man. Didn't you pick some different dash bits to delete the silver?
Those seats are my all time favourite style and shape for comfort and if you have a dodgy lower back. The electronic adjustable lumbar support is missing from my WRX's seats, I so wish they had it. I never had any issues with sliding around in the seat either. They held me in place nicely. Totally worth getting the bolster touched up.
