3 Litre 6 cyl engine for '05 Outback

G'Day Guy's,

A few months ago the timing chain let go on my beloved Outback after hearing a clang clang clang the motor seized up so i am looking for another engine so I can get it back on the road.

G’day Brian,

That’s a fair effort! I’ve not heard of this happening on those engines but I guess anything is possible.

Look into imported JDM used engines. These are typically the go-to for direct replacements. I’ve heard of ppl going this way rather than replacing the head gaskets on the H6 because it’s such an involved job that’s also cost prohibitive!!

Well Guy's after 20 years on the farm my marriage is just about gone so this '05 Subi outback is on the market, no rust and a new engine will be this ol' girl back on the road so give me an offer I can't refuse.
