As has been mentioned there are a few hurdles and loopholes to importing a vehicle for motorsports purposes. Even more if you would like to bring one in for personal use.
Here are just a couple places to find useful information on the subject.
FIA: http://www.fia.com/e...ologations.aspx
DOTARS/SEVS: http://www.infrastru...sevs/index.aspx
Of course if you have connections with people who are versed with the government guidelines to the letter and do it on a regular basis ( secret squirrel's ), you are already miles ahead.
Has anyone here done this yet?
Discuss.

As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Me personally? No.
A couple of good friends? Yes.
Hands up if you know someone with a Spec C RA-R that is eligible for road registration once it lands.
Hello?
Nobody?
Bueller?
Bueller?
Oh wait.
*puts hand up*
