After observing a heap of white and blue collar RTA staff congregating next to the red light camera on the City West Link (Haberfield), I stumbled upon something interesting on their website this morning.

The RTA are replacing those old red light cameras with new digital ones. These new cameras will double up as red light AND speed cameras!

This is in response to the high fatality rate on NSW roads this year and was done by that relatively new Transport Minister, whatever his name is.

Anyway, details including locations here:
http://www.rta.nsw.g...d=safetycameras

Safety Camera FAQ page here:
http://www.rta.nsw.g...amera_faqs.html

So yeh, watch out lads. Look for the signs on the side of the road.

Driver training and education is the only thing that will stop the road toll.

This was inevitable.

It was first implemented in Victoria.
Then Canberra.
