Adelaide SA - West Wyalong
Did it easy apart from the last 150km when we had to go 80-90 kph because of the rain! Down to 60 kph in some parts (No rain before then) Was aquaplanning pretty bad because of the road which held fairly big puddles.
Before we left, When it was clean, Now littered with lolly rapers:
Crusing speed:
Finished his work for the day:
His clothes hanging up:
More updates to come. Heading to Armidale tomorrow.
Tom.

I just drove down to Sydney on Friday and just flew back an hour ago.Cool.
Road trips rock (if theyre done without kids. )
My kids were great up until the last 1/2 hour when the 9 year old starts with the "are we there yet?".
We just loaded his PSP with 7 or 8 Mpeg rips and he was occupied for ages. My 14yo daughter had her i-touch loaded with music and movies too.
Tom, if you'd like a meetup PM me.

Taking the b4 on such a long trip only makes you realise exactly how much it needs a 6th gear!!
Drive safe dude.. Missing my b4 a lil now
Damn straight, I have 4.44 Ratio and i really need a 6th gear.
I have driven a heap since the start of december in my B4. Been to the gold coast, Bega, Sydney multiple times. And got back from bathurst late last night from the 12 hour.
B4's just love the open roads. Im keen to hit up the NT no speed limit roads.. Might do that next year:)

Was pretty busy up there, Didn't read the replies to this thread until now!
Took a different way home, More straight and boring (To Coonabarabran - Broken Hill - Adelaide)
Had a great time while i was up there, The car had no hiccups what so ever, and the oil it still full and oily colour (not black!) haha
Went to all the worlds again which is always good fun
Only problem was the first day we left to go home, about 45 minutes out of surfers a Ute went past and flicked up a rock which made a 15cm long crack in the windscreen from the edge of it and each little bump was making it longer!
So we turned around and headed back for Nerang to this place called "Premier Windscreens" which somehow happened to have one in stock!
An hour and a half and $215 later we where back on the road.
Still trying to reach our goal destination for the night i picked up the pace a little bit, in hindsight obviously was the wrong idea.
Long story short got pulled over by a QLD Red Toyota Aurion police car for doing 115 in a 100 zone. Somehow he got me from ages away! I didn't think radars went that far. Anyway. $200 fine. Do i have to pay and interstate fine?
The last hour of that day was in the darkness, so i sat behind a truck hoping he could be a roo blocker! (poor paint job, Thanks carbra)
Always filled up with 98 octane apart from one fill up of 95 (Cobar i think) because i didn't really wan't to stop in Wilcania to fill up! haha
I noticed the fuel economy dropped a bit but still ran fine.
Here are some piccys of the trip:
Race Face!
Pre drinks before a night out up Q1:
Clean Gen 2 GX:
View from the Sofitel:
On the way home:
(all taken with the Gf's Canon Point n shoot with 12x zoom)
Had pretty much perfect weather when we where up there! Apart from the rainy drive up.
Cheers, Tom
