You could pull of the larger scoop if you had a larger, more aggresive front bar to tie in with it. The standard fron looks too sedate with a massive scoop. All depends on what look you want to achieve with the car.

The only one I would get would be this one.

and it would have to be a genuine one or I couldn't live with myself.

Hi,

Works on the Forester and Gen3 Lib/Legs.

Personally I agree that if it's completely aesthetic, you should cop a FMIC + N/A bonnet.

Cheers,
Nik

Piping showing thru the F/L holes looks stupid... how hard would it be to get some fine mesh over em :dash2:

I think it looks tuff with the piping showing through the holes.

Like Aek's.

That sticks out like dogs balls but doesn't have any style.

If you're going to have a scoop, why not be aggressive about it.

Hi,

Do you have an example of what would be acceptable to your liking, Paul?

Cheers,
Nik

I liked the gen3 at the top. It looks pretty tough.

I just don't see the point of changing from one understated scoop to another.
Over all I agree with Alex in that the NA bonnet with a FMIC is the go, but if you're going to have one, go all out. Isn't the whole point of changing it to draw attention?

Did the earth just start rotating the other way...

I'm going to bow into this one, even if I am a bit late - I could be a little biased though. My B4 has the 401 scoop. It looks a lot tougher than the stock one, pulls an absolute crap load more air, but doesn't look retarded like a Spec C scoop... If anyone wants various angles, I'm happy to oblige with some more photos. From the inside the bulge is somewhat noticeable, similar to the BA/BF falcon XR8 bulges, but nowhere near as nasty when the sun hits on the wrong angle.

Although, mine does have the 401 front bar to go with it...

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

The S401 scoop is the ugliest one subaru have ever put on one of their cars :negative:

IMO the only scoop that suits the liberty/legacy is the ARC carbon add-on B)

i think they look the best as is and left alone. not really a fan of any of the scoop "additions". the best bit about the liberty/legacy is that the scoop is nice and understated
